Dynatrace platform update: The path to autonomous intelligence

New cloud-native AI observability and log management functions simplify IT processes and accelerate innovation

BOSTON, Massachusetts, July 22, 2025 – Dynatrace (NYSE: DT), the leading AI-powered observability platform, today announced significant enhancements to its third-generation platform. The platform revolutionizes observability by combining analytics, AI and automation, paving the way towards autonomous intelligence. Thousands of enterprise customers are already benefiting from the third generation platform, which enables organizations to turn data into decisions and these into intelligent, immediate action.

Dynatrace meets the requirements of large, dynamic and complex corporate landscapes by redefining the concept of observability: The focus is not just on insights, but on automated workflows in IT, cloud, security and business processes.

“We are taking the value of observability to a new level and helping to build the future of AI,” explains Bernd Greifeneder, founder and Chief Technology Officer of Dynatrace. “The third-generation platform is designed to put the wealth of data from Observability into context and transform it into real-time knowledge for AI – for actionable insights and automation on the path to autonomous intelligence.”

New functions of the third platform generation

In the digital economy, companies are facing a data explosion – driven by cloud-native architectures, distributed systems and AI-driven applications. At the heart of the Dynatrace platform is Grail, a massively parallel processing data lakehouse that seamlessly combines observability, security and business data. Combined with AI-powered analytics and automation, companies transform telemetry into accurate business analytics and intelligent, automated actions.

The new features of the Dynatrace platform focus on seamless operations in hybrid and multi-cloud environments and enable measurable business outcomes:

Cloud-native and AI-native acceleration for development

  • Developers can easily import and analyze data from serverless and cloud architectures – with self-service access and simplified visualization of typical cloud patterns.
  • Dynatrace offers the only live debugging tool that is scalable to thousands of concurrent developer sessions per client – with non-blocking breakpoints and data protection.
  • The Dynatrace MCP server brings real-time observability directly into AI-supported development: for better designs, a stronger security posture and faster troubleshooting in the IDE.

Preventive operation with Agentic AI

  • Davis® AI extends root cause analysis and troubleshooting with agentic AI capabilities: for preventative action and automated remediation in complex multi-team scenarios. This includes guided troubleshooting, interactive recommendations, and natural language “explain and summarize” capabilities to minimize manual intervention and optimize collaboration between ITOps, SRE, platform engineering, DevSecOps, and development teams.
  • Davis CoPilot makes it possible to use a natural language interface to accelerate advanced analytics, easily create workflows or dashboards and integrate them with other technologies and solutions.

Transformative log management

  • Logs can now be analyzed in full and in real time – in the context of other observability data. The Logs app and Davis CoPilot provide new insights.
  • Flexible pricing: either by storage or usage, with continuously active hot/hot storage (up to 10 years retention).
  • Petabyte-level scalability per day: Automatically manage logs in context across the organization with secure Kubernetes log collection, without the complexity of legacy solutions.

With global data volumes expected to double in the next three years, increasingly dynamic and complex digital ecosystems, and the rise of AI, organizations need solutions that provide more than just visibility,” said Steve Tack, Chief Product Officer at Dynatrace. “Our latest capabilities are designed to drive proactive, intelligent automation that helps entire teams across an organization see connections to better understand their digital systems and continuously improve business outcomes.”

By integrating AI-powered systems with advanced automation, Dynatrace helps clients turn data into action to achieve key results.
