Hack the System: Berlin Blockchain Week 22
From September 12 to 19, the Berlin Blockchain Week 2022 will showcase blockchain as the technology of the future. The emphasis won't be on the share prices of Bitcoin and the like, but on providing first-hand blockchain know-how. In numerous talks, conferences and hackathons, visitors will be able to gain valuable insights into the crypto space of today – and the financial system of tomorrow. Here are the most important events of Berlin Blockchain Week 2022.
Dappcon 2022
The Ethereum conference Dappcon 2022 will kick off this series of decentrally organized events. From September 12 to 14, developers from the Ethereum ecosystem will meet at the Radialwerk in Berlin to discuss the latest developments in the field of decentralized apps (Dapps) and present their projects. Another thematic focus is the core development of Ethereum. In addition, with the Universal Basic Income (UBI), a political item is also on the agenda for the Ethereum event. Tickets for Dappcon 2022 are only available in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFT), which can be purchased with the stablecoin xDAI. Dapcon 2022 is organized by the DeFi project Gnosis Chain, which also manages the technical implementation of the NFT tickets.
DuneCon
On September 15, crypto data provider Dune Analytics will host the world's first DuneCon. From 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Web3 analysts will gather at the Funkhaus Berlin. The program includes presentations, hackathons and training sessions on the topic of on-chain data analysis. DuneCon is not exclusively aimed at "wizards", as Web3 analysts are called within the Dune community; guests and partners from the industry as well as potential wizards-to-be are also cordially invited.
Borderless Berlin
Will the future be single-chain or multi-chain? What about privacy on the Web3? How will the metaverse evolve in future? These are just some of the topics that will be discussed at the Borderless Berlin event. It will take place on September 15 from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm at the Weekend Club – rooftop party included.
Blockchain in Use Conference
BerChain e.V., the non-profit association for the promotion of blockchain technology in Berlin, is organizing its third Blockchain in Use Conference on September 15 and 16, together with Berlin’s economic development agency Berlin Partner. Once again, industry experts will present real-world use cases for blockchain technology. Both the venue and the agenda are yet to be announced.
ETHBerlin³
On September 16, ETHBerlin, one of Germany's best-known blockchain hackathons, will return after a three-year absence. And not a minute too soon: In view of the global crises we are facing today and the recent steep increase in inflation, the weaknesses of our financial system have once again become apparent. The slogan for this year is "Hack the System!” and ETHBerlin³ has therefore dedicated itself to the search for alternatives for the financial system of the future. Blockchain technology can provide valuable services in this regard – but how do we move from altcoin casinos, yield farming tokens and VC-funded blockchains to an inclusive system that offers real added value for everyone? This is one of the guiding questions that ETHBerlin³ is addressing this year.
