ENYRING launches e-bike series with matching battery subscription service in Berlin and Amsterdam in fall 2025

Berlin, May 6, 2025 – ENYRING, a Yamaha Motor company that aims to contribute to a more sustainable mobility future, announces the launch of its e-bike series with a battery subscription service in Berlin, and Amsterdam, from the fourth quarter of 2025.

Thanks to a network of around 60 battery exchange stations in both cities, ENYRING customers can exchange empty batteries for fully charged ones in less than 20 seconds with a subscription – eliminating long charging times and range anxiety. ENYRING will offer a range of e-bikes tailored to different mobility needs to match the battery subscription service.

ENYRING’s vision is to become the leading platform for exchangeable batteries on the European e-bike market. Under the motto “Ride the Change”, ENYRING aims to offer a sustainable and user-friendly solution for urban mobility.

Berlin and Amsterdam as launch cities

ENYRING will initially launch its battery subscription service in Berlin and Amsterdam. In both cities, battery exchange stations will be installed within a radius of approximately 2 km in the respective city centers, allowing for a seamless driving experience without downtime. A detailed map of these locations will be available shortly at www.enyring.eu.

The batteries are centrally monitored and safely charged to ensure their optimum performance and service life. The battery exchange service not only reduces the concerns associated with home charging, but also extends battery life and improves the efficiency of reuse and recycling. Details of terms and conditions will be announced shortly. In this how-to video describes how the battery exchange stations work.

With the launch of the subscription service, ENYRING will open a brand store in both cities in Q4 2025, offering customers test rides and personal advice. Customers can order the e-bikes via the ENYRING online store.

City, sport, family, cargo: e-bikes for every need

ENYRING offers four different e-bike models that are tailored to different areas of use and are all compatible with an ENYRING battery (480Wh, 48V):

  • ER/01: A city bike for uncomplicated daily commutes
  • ER/02: A sporty city bike that combines performance and style
  • ER/03: A longtail with plenty of space, ideal for families – suitable accessories ensure that children can be taken along safely
  • ER/04: A cargo bike, perfect for longer distances, heavy transportation or the way to daycare/school with children – child seats are available as suitable accessories

The models are equipped with various features, including modern anti-theft functions such as an alarm system, immobilizer and GPS tracking via the ENYRING app. The app also provides insights into journeys, battery changes and speed.

Comprehensive coverage with battery exchange stations

Around 40 battery exchange stations will be set up in Berlin and around 20 in Amsterdam. The stations will be located within a radius of around 2 km in the city centers – ideal for a quick exchange on the way to work, school or when shopping.

The stations automatically adapt the charging speed to the demand and carry out a complete battery health check with every charging cycle. This ensures consistently high performance and extends the service life of the batteries. Batteries that are no longer suitable for e-bike use are reused or recycled, which supports ENYRING’s commitment to sustainable mobility.

First product experience at VELO Berlin

ENYRING will be presenting its products for the first time at VELO Berlin on May 10 and 11. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the battery changing stations live and benefit from the exclusive early bird discount. The ENYRING stand will be located in Hangar H D02.
