Berlin / Beijing, May 28, 2025 – NIU Technologies (NASDAQ: NIU), the world’s leading provider of fully electric mobility solutions on two wheels, is launching two e-kick scooters on the German market with the new KQi-200 series. The successor to the globally popular KQi2 series impresses with improved performance and greater range.

Comfortable driving thanks to innovative chassis

At the heart of the new series is the innovative twin-tube suspension on the front wheel. This effectively absorbs shocks and vibrations, even on cobblestones or uneven paths, ensuring an exceptionally smooth and comfortable ride. The suspension also improves the handling, safety and durability of the scooter. This is complemented by wider handlebars (541mm on the KQi 200P, 607mm on the KQi 200F), which ensure improved riding stability and control.

Elegance meets individuality

The KQi-200 series impresses with its clear, minimalist design. The uncluttered look is emphasized by integrated cable routing and the 75 mm drum brake elegantly integrated into the front wheel. A special highlight is the interchangeable griptape, which allows riders to give their scooter a personal touch. Both models have a simple and safe folding mechanism so that the kick scooters can be quickly stowed away in the car or train. For maximum flexibility in everyday urban life, the KQi 200F also features a folding handlebar for even more space-saving storage.

Performance and safety for the city

The KQi-200 models are powered by an improved motor with a rated output of 350 watts (maximum 700 watts, constant for 30 minutes), which ensures rapid acceleration and can cope with gradients of up to 20 percent. Thanks to the 365 Wh battery capacity and optimized, tubeless 10-inch air wheels with low rolling resistance, a range of up to 54 kilometers is achieved. In Germany, both models are approved for a maximum speed of 20 km/h. Safety is ensured by the brake system consisting of a front wheel drum brake and rear regenerative e-brake, a robust frame and IPX5-certified splash protection. The Halo LED light, a bright rear light and integrated indicators ensure that you can see and be seen.

Smart features for a personalized experience

The NIU app allows riders to personalize various settings, such as the starting speed, acceleration modes or a charging limit to conserve battery power. The LED dashboard shows all important information at a glance.
