PIABO wins three sustainability pioneers for its new Greentech & Sustainability Practice
PIABO, the Berlin-based leading Full-Service PR Partner for the digital industry, has added three significant accounts to its newly launched Greentech & Sustainability Practice. With the RESPOND Accelerator, Green City Solutions and Compleo Charging Solutions already onboard, PIABO is supporting customers in the areas of sustainable leadership, urban transformation and e-mobility. Since 2009, the agency has been committed to companies that have a positive societal impact through new technologies and business models – PIABO’s dedicated Greentech & Sustainability Practice was launched as an independent, dedicated practice in January to further respond to this growing need.
All three companies provide sustainable technologies and show how green business models succeed in combining ecology and entrepreneurship. Through its Greentech & Sustainability practice, PIABO will establish and strengthen them as significant market participants through creative storytelling and strategic positioning. With their resource-friendly and environmentally friendly products, innovative processes or new business models, the companies are stimulating a more sustainable economy.
The RESPOND Accelerator Programme, for example, initiated by the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, with support from Europe’s leading innovation and founder centre UnternehmerTUM, supports impact-oriented founders in scaling their innovative solutions and technologies. Across a five-month period, RESPOND accompanies founders who solve complex global problems through new technologies or entrepreneurial approaches and whose business models contribute to one of the sustainable development goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030: decent work and economic growth (goal 8), industry, innovation and infrastructure (goal 9) or sustainable cities and communities (goal 11). The aim to contribute to a systemic transformation of the economic and financial system through RESPOND. In particular, the Accelerator counts on PIABO's long-standing communications expertise.
With it’s CityTree, the multi-award-winning company Green City Solutions has already produced a unique product for improving air quality in urban spaces. The CityTree is an intelligent air filter solution that combines the natural air filtering ability of moss with the latest Internet of Things technology, in order to filter the fine dust particles in big cities and thus ensure better air quality. According to CEO Peter Sänger, a CityTree from Green City Solutions can clean the air 7000 people breathe in just one hour. PIABO will support the greentech company at the official product launch of the new generation of CityTree in Berlin. Within the course of the year, it is also planned to place it in other locations, including Dresden and London.
Compleo is a German manufacturer of charging points for electric vehicles and is actively promoting the mobility revolution. The company has been present on the market since 2009 and sells its standard-conforming AC and DC charging points to businesses, local authorities, mobility service providers and energy suppliers to simplify the use of electric vehicles throughout Europe. With the help of PIABO, Compleo wants to attract more attention to the importance of a Europe-wide, comprehensive charging infrastructure, especially among decision-makers in business and politics: this is essential if more e-vehicles are to be put on the roads in the long term.
"The best recipe for success for long-term innovations is when ecological and social progress meets entrepreneurial pioneering spirit. In our new Greentech & Sustainability Practice therefore, we are committed to sustainable business models that contribute to overall economic development. We are pleased to be able to make a significant contribution to such important projects," says Andreas Krönke, PIABO’s Unit Director Technology. By sharing information and raising awareness, we aim to create a fundamental understanding of new technologies and products.
