#52 AI: Soon smarter than humans? Dr. Rebekka Reinhard, human

Jul 10, 2024 | 28 Min.

What if we live in a world where artificial intelligence influences not only our daily lives, but also our culture, politics, and economy? Where does the human being fit into this framework? What ethical challenges does AI pose in journalism? Just as the image of the robot is ever-present, so is the fear that AI could replace journalists and take their work away entirely.

The debate about the impact of artificial intelligence on society is far from over—it has only just begun. This is exactly what human takes on and poses the question: As the first AI magazine in Germany, it brings the topic to the forefront. The magazine builds a bridge between humans and technology. The first issue was published in July 2023 with an impressive initial circulation of 40,000 copies.

“It wasn’t a given for me to start a company. Coming from a background in philosophy, AI is an incredibly fascinating topic. By early 2023 at the latest, AI had become an increasingly important economic, social, and ethical factor—but I felt there was a lack of proper representation of the topic in the German media,” reflects philosopher and editor-in-chief Dr. Rebekka Reinhard on the founding of the magazine.

Key question today: What role does artificial intelligence play in journalism and in our human communication?

The world of venture capital: a vibrant and dynamic sector that can pave the way to success for startups and visionary entrepreneurs. In this world, it’s all about the money and the instinct to identify the most promising ideas.

Venture capitalists are the heroes behind the scenes. They provide not only financial resources but also their expertise, experience, and extensive networks to unlock the potential of emerging companies.

As a solo GP, I finally have the opportunity to support founders from start to finish—I really enjoy being directly involved,” says Robin Haak about himself and his inner drive to invest in startups. #25 Synthetische Medien: Ist das echt? Iskender Dirik, Samsung Next

Feb 24, 2021 | 45 min.
